Steel Hunters Enters Early Access Phase
The anticipation ends today with the official unveiling of Wargaming’s latest creation, Steel Hunters, as it steps into Early Access. This free-to-play mech hero shooter, designed to captivate with its fusion of Battle Royale and Extraction mechanics, places players at the helm of mighty mechanical titans known as “Hunters.” Starting now, players worldwide can dive into intense PvPvE skirmishes, joining forces in duos to complete objectives, collect potent gear, and reign supreme on dynamic battlegrounds.
During Early Access, the development team at Steel Hunters will prioritize feedback from the player community, with a focus on refining gameplay mechanics and enhancing every facet of the experience. This phase is pivotal for optimizing the game’s balance, ensuring combat fluidity, and unlocking its ultimate potential before the full launch. Alongside performance fine-tuning, new content and features will be introduced, molded by community insights.

What Awaits in Early Access:
- Hunters: Customize seven distinct Hunters, each endowed with unique abilities: Razorside, Heartbreaker, Fenris, Ursus, Trenchwalker, Prophet, and Weaver. A brand-new Hunter will join the action during Early Access.
- Dynamic Battlegrounds: Engage in combat across three maps with destructible environments: Crimson Ridge, Maryland Heights, and Stonecutter Keep.
- Game Mode & Development: The Last Stand mode has replaced Starfall Harvest as the primary gameplay mode. An overhauled System Tree now offers a unified, powerful skill tree featuring progressive upgrades.
- No Progress Reset: From April 2nd, game servers will remain open indefinitely, ensuring no progress reset. Players will retain all in-game items and enhancements acquired in both Early Access and pre-testing phases, readying them for the full game’s release.
- Battle Pass: Steel Hunters’ inaugural Battle Pass debuts in Early Access, extending until April 29, 2025. This free Battle Pass allows players to level up their Hunters, unlock exclusive Skins, and access a wealth of rewards, Boosts, and Credits.
