Ubisoft, alongside Massive Entertainment, has unveiled significant updates regarding The Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn. Fans of the series will be delighted to know that the narrative is circling back to its roots. Originally, our journey in The Division franchise began amidst the chaos of a pandemic-stricken New York City on New Year’s Eve. Fast forward seven years, and while The Division 2 transported players to the heart of Washington D.C., the Warlords of New York expansion brought us back to New York. Now, with Battle for Brooklyn, the saga continues in familiar territory.

Release Date and Pricing

The much-anticipated expansion, Battle for Brooklyn, is slated for release on May 27, 2025. Priced at $14.99 USD, it promises to be an exciting addition for the community. However, those who have invested in the Gold or Ultimate editions will be pleased to find it included at no additional cost. For newcomers eager to jump into the action, there’s an option to level up directly to forty, granting instant access to the expansion’s content.

What to Expect in Battle for Brooklyn

Prepare yourself for a rich, immersive experience with ten to twelve hours of campaign content. Players will traverse through four distinct checkpoints and revisit iconic areas such as Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights. The expansion also introduces twelve Living World Events, ten Bounty Locations, and eight Hunter Riddles, complemented by a fresh set of collectible Bounties.

Facing off against the notorious Cleaners and Rikers, players will encounter the formidable Purple Flame weapon. Additionally, the return of Smart Cover, available in Precision and Fortified variations, adds strategic depth to gameplay. As for gear, the new Catalyst Exotic Mask enhances the impact of status damage dealt or received, providing a tactical edge.
