Spotify is once again adjusting its subscription prices around the globe. While the United States remains unaffected due to a price increase in July of the previous year, other regions are beginning to see changes. Countries such as the Netherlands and Luxembourg have already experienced these adjustments. Sources close to the company suggest that this trend of price hikes is expected to extend to more countries during the summer period.
In Turkey, Spotify’s last price adjustment occurred in February 2025. At that time, the Individual subscription plan rose from 39.99 TL to 59.99 TL, the Duo plan increased from 54.99 TL to 79.99 TL, the Family plan jumped from 64.99 TL to 99.99 TL, and the Student plan went up from 21.99 TL to 32.99 TL. Although no official announcement has been made regarding a new price hike for Turkey, the global trend suggests that Turkish subscribers might soon face a similar update.
There has been growing pressure from music industry representatives on digital streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music to raise their prices. Industry insiders argue that subscription fees are not keeping pace with inflation and that music streaming services are undervalued compared to video streaming platforms.
In response to consumer demand for more value, Spotify is reportedly developing a new subscription tier called “Super Premium“. This package is expected to provide subscribers with exclusive benefits, including early access to new music releases and concert tickets, enhancing the overall user experience.
