Samsung has unveiled a revamped Software Update application designed for its Galaxy line of devices. This latest version is engineered to facilitate a seamless transition to the Android 15-based One UI 7, ensuring a smoother update experience compared to past iterations, notably with the Galaxy S24 series.
The app’s improvements focus on optimizing Samsung’s server connectivity, promising users a more efficient and hassle-free download and installation process. Conveniently, users won’t need to initiate any manual actions to benefit from these enhancements.
In April, Samsung commenced the rollout of the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series, along with the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 models. Following this, older models such as the Galaxy S23, S22, and S21 are scheduled to receive the update starting in May. Furthermore, the update will extend to the Galaxy Z Fold 5/4/3, Z Flip 5/4/3, and the S24 FE, S23 FE, and S21 FE models.
Looking ahead, Samsung has announced that its non-premium Galaxy devices will begin receiving the Android 15 update from June 2025. However, the company has advised that the update timeline is subject to change.
