Samsung Galaxy S25 Series: Android 15 Update Delays

Despite the Samsung Galaxy S25 series launching with Android 15, a significant delay has affected the rollout of this OS update to other key Samsung devices. Google’s Pixel series smartphones received Android 15 as early as October, but Samsung’s flagship models are only now beginning to receive their updates. A newly reported issue, however, suggests this process could be even more prolonged.

According to reports from Android Police and well-known sources @UniverseIce and @tarunvats33, Samsung has temporarily suspended the global rollout of the One UI 7 update based on Android 15 for its Galaxy S24 series, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 models. This decision follows user feedback indicating that some devices were unable to boot normally post-update. Such a critical issue likely prompted Samsung’s decision to pause the rollout. The extent of the problem is still under investigation, but for users who have already upgraded to One UI 7 and are encountering difficulties, rest assured that Samsung is likely working swiftly to address these issues.

Extended Wait for Other Models

This suspension implies a significant delay for the One UI 7 update’s availability on additional Samsung devices. Consequently, Samsung users with non-flagship models will experience an extended wait for Android 15. With the introduction of Android 16 just a few months away, the delay in current updates continues to frustrate Samsung users. There is a growing expectation for Samsung to expedite its software update processes and enhance its support, thereby reducing these unwelcome delays.
