The Monster Hunter series, renowned as one of CAPCOM’s most successful franchises, continues its tradition of record-breaking achievements. The latest installment, Monster Hunter Wilds, has set a new benchmark in the gaming world just a month after its release.
Monster Hunter Wilds has already surpassed the impressive milestone of 10 million sales in its first month, as announced by CAPCOM. This remarkable achievement has positioned it as the fastest-selling game in the company’s history.
In its initial three weeks, the game reached an astounding 8 million copies sold. Historically, Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise have been the top contenders in CAPCOM’s lineup, with sales of 21.30 million and 16.70 million, respectively. However, with the highly anticipated updates for Monster Hunter Wilds, it is poised to join the ranks of the company’s top two best-sellers.
The first update, scheduled for release this Friday, promises to enhance the gaming experience. Notably, players at level 21 and above will have the opportunity to hunt the enigmatic Mizutsune creature. Additionally, the update introduces new quests, available for both single-player and multiplayer modes, as well as the Great Gathering Centre, which becomes accessible after reaching Level 16.
