The eagerly anticipated Lords of the Fallen 2.0 update has been launched, introducing a host of new features and improvements. This update, which includes a surprise feature, enhances gameplay and introduces cross-platform co-op capabilities. More details are available in our news section.
The remake of Lords of the Fallen was released in October 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. Set in a world where players combat Adyr, the malevolent god returning for vengeance eons after being vanquished, the game has been continuously enriched with content updates, including the Legendary Pack and the Dark Crusader Starting Class.
The 2.0 update, eagerly awaited by fans, has finally been unveiled. The most significant addition is the Friend’s Pass. Similar to titles like It Takes Two and Split Fiction, this feature allows a friend to join the adventure without owning the game, provided that one person has purchased it.
Besides the Friend’s Pass, another major enhancement is the shared progress save functionality for cross-platform co-op. However, players must start with a ‘New Game’ and have defeated a comparable number of main enemies for this feature to be effective. Notably, if a player begins with New Game+, this system will not be operative.
When successfully implemented, all players can gather loot, maintain 100% energy, and revive each other. The 2.0 update also revamps the combat and movement mechanics, the character creation interface, and weapon sound effects. Additionally, a dedicated jump button has been introduced. The user interface and on-screen indicators have been modernized, the tutorial has been enhanced, and the lamp now guides players to the next relic and assists in navigating through Mournstead.
