Real Madrid’s prodigious striker, Kylian Mbappe, has reached a significant milestone by matching the number of goals scored by the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo during his inaugural season with the Spanish powerhouse.
In the 2009-2010 season, Ronaldo, then a fresh acquisition for Real Madrid, made a substantial impact by netting 33 goals. Now, Mbappe, who has consistently expressed his admiration for Ronaldo, has equaled this remarkable achievement with his recent performance against Leganes.
Mbappe, speaking after the match, remarked, “I often converse with Cristiano Ronaldo, and he offers invaluable advice. It is a great honor to score the same number of goals as he did in my debut season. We all know what Ronaldo signifies to the world of football, but ultimately, the priority is to secure trophies with Real Madrid.”
This season, aside from his impressive goal tally, Kylian Mbappe has also contributed to the team’s success by providing four assists to his teammates, showcasing his all-round playing capabilities.
