The Israeli Army, represented by Spokesperson Avichay Adraee, has issued a critical warning to residents of specific areas within Rafah city, situated in the southern Gaza Strip. In a statement shared on his official X account, Adraee emphasized the urgency for the populace to vacate certain zones for their safety.
Adraee highlighted, “We reiterate our urgent warning to residents of Gaza residing in the eastern and western sectors of Rafah city, including the towns of An-Nasr, Ash-Shawka, and the neighborhoods of As-Salam, Al-Menara, and Kayzan al-Najjar.” Residents are advised to relocate immediately to designated shelter centers located in the Mevasi area, west of Khan Younis city.
On March 29, the Israeli military broadened its ground operations within the southern Gaza Strip, marking an escalation in their activities in the region.
The military offensive, which commenced on October 7, 2023, and continued until the ceasefire on January 19, 2025, involved strategic directives for Palestinian migrations within Gaza, as evidenced by maps released by the Israeli army.
According to data provided by the United Nations, an overwhelming 90 percent of Gaza’s population, approximately 2.3 million individuals, have experienced displacement at least once as a direct result of these military actions.
The ceasefire established on January 19 was breached by the Israeli forces, leading to a resumption of hostilities and violent attacks on the Gaza Strip beginning on the morning of March 18.
