For years, Half-Life 3 has been one of the most eagerly awaited titles in the gaming universe, capturing the imagination of fans worldwide. The release of Half-Life: Alyx in 2020 by Valve reignited the flame of hope among enthusiasts. Yet, the question that lingers is: When will Half-Life 3 finally see the light of day? Although an official release date remains elusive, recent developments have sparked renewed interest.
In past years, numerous rumors have swirled around this question. Now, a statement directly from Valve has elevated expectations significantly. In a recent interview, Evgeniy Evstratiy, a concept artist at Valve, revealed that he had visited the room where Half-Life 3 is being developed. Evstratiy described his experience in a podcast, stating: “I am uncertain about the appropriateness of discussing this, but I found myself in the room where Half-Life 3 was being developed. Although I didn’t witness the actual development process, I saw the office setup, the computers, and the whiteboards.”
Evstratiy emphasized that this current iteration of Half-Life 3 is not Valve’s first attempt. He cautioned that the game being in development does not guarantee its eventual release. However, there are other factors fueling the excitement around Half-Life 3.
A few months ago, Tyler McVicker, a well-known and reliable source within the gaming industry, suggested that Half-Life 3 was nearing completion and could potentially be announced as soon as 2025. McVicker’s insights, coupled with Evstratiy’s revelations, have further bolstered the hopes of fans.
