Fortnite is once again venturing into the vast Star Wars universe. A new Battle Royale season, set to launch on May 2, will immerse players in the thrilling Galactic War theme. This season promises exciting elements like Darth Jar Jar and the introduction of Force Lightning, a new in-game ability. This exciting news was unveiled during a Star Wars celebration held in Japan, sparking a flurry of anticipation and speculation among the game’s community.

The Darth Jar Jar Theory and Ahmed Best’s Insights

The theory that Jar Jar Binks might be a Force-sensitive character has captivated fans for years, epitomized by the concept of Darth Jar Jar. Ahmed Best, the actor behind Jar Jar Binks, has offered intriguing insights that fuel this theory. Best revealed that some of the character’s lines in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace were improvised. Particularly, he noted that the “Phantom Menace” scene was entirely spontaneous and that he has been reciting that line for over two decades.

What to Expect from the Galactic War Season

The Galactic War season promises players the chance to pilot iconic Star Wars vehicles, such as X-Wings and TIE Fighters. There will also be brand-new Star Wars-themed maps and abundant content featuring beloved characters like Mace Windu. Fortnite players can earn V-Bucks to purchase Battle Cards centered around Star Wars personalities. New additions to the Item Shop will include characters like Emperor Palpatine and the Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader.

This season will span five weeks, with each week spotlighting a unique themed event. The Galactic War season event schedule is as follows:

The current Fortnite season, themed around heists, features celebrity appearances, with notable figures such as Shohei Ohtani and Sabrina Carpenter making appearances in the game.
