Condé Nast Traveller, a leading authority in travel and lifestyle, has unveiled its list of the best holiday destinations for 2021. For the second consecutive year, Argos in Cappadocia and D Maris Bay in Marmaris have been awarded in distinct categories at the prestigious Condé Nast Traveller Reader Awards.
Renowned for inspiring wanderlust, the magazine’s Readers Travel Awards are highly esteemed in the tourism sector. According to the votes from avid travelers, D Maris Bay, nestled in the unique bays of the Datça Peninsula where the Aegean and Mediterranean converge, secured the 20th position in the ’30 Best Resorts in Europe’ category, scoring 97.42 points.
Meanwhile, Argos in Cappadocia, situated in the historic village of Uchisar at Cappadocia’s heart, was honored in the ‘Top 20 Best Hotels in Greece and Turkey’ category. Achieving a remarkable score of 98 points, it claimed the 7th spot. This enchanting hotel, shaped over 25 years through the meticulous restoration of an ancient monastery settlement, caves, underground tunnels, and historic houses, was duly recognized for its excellence.
The Reader Awards, established in 1998, celebrate the pinnacle of the travel industry worldwide, spanning categories like hotels, resorts, holiday villages, airlines, car rental agencies, and cruise ships. The awards’ integrity is maintained through guest feedback and the insights of a jury composed of independent travel industry consultants, who assess service quality, comfort, and presentation.
