The performance benchmarks of Nvidia’s upcoming graphics card, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, have surfaced online, creating excitement among tech enthusiasts. Renowned hardware source VideoCardz has shared 3DMark test results that reveal the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB delivers a notable 20 percent increase in performance over its predecessor, the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. The official release of this new powerhouse from the RTX 50 series is eagerly anticipated next week.
According to the leaked information, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB outperforms its predecessor in the 3DMark test suite, particularly in the Speed Way, Fire Strike Ultra, Port Royal, and Fire Strike Extreme tests. This equates to a 20 percent improvement overall. In comparison, the earlier Geekbench tests indicated a performance difference of 14 percent. However, it’s important to note that the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB trails the more robust RTX 5070 by approximately 33 percent in terms of performance.
Delving into the technical specifications, the RTX 5060 Ti is powered by the GB206-300-A1 chip and features 4,608 CUDA cores (36 SM). The graphics card will be available in two variants: 8GB and 16GB, both with a 128-bit memory bus and a 180W TGP. The power requirements can be fulfilled with a single 8-pin power connector, although special editions may feature a 12V-2×6 connector. Interestingly, all leaked performance data pertains to the 16GB variant, likely due to these being early testing samples. This could imply that Nvidia has not yet provided the 8GB version for external testing.
The upcoming RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is anticipated to be priced in the range of $400-450, positioning it as a competitive option in the graphics card market. As the official release draws near, excitement builds around its potential to redefine performance standards for gaming and professional applications.
